About me

I have been fascinated with technology ever since I was a kid and built my first “battleship” game using BASIC programming at the age of 8 with help from my dad. Early on in my career, I came across UX design as a discipline. It seemed like the perfect combination of creativity and technology. I switched careers over 12 years ago and I haven’t looked back since.

Outside of design I love travelling, reading books and recently have started learning to play the violin. Here are a few snippets from these different aspects of my life.

Teaching UX design

I taught design as a volunteer at ReDI School Berlin, in a program to help women break find new career paths. This has by far been my most rewarding experience till date.

Travel Diaries

"One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry M.

I am eternally grateful for the opportunities I have to had to travel and see the world. It has moved me in ways that are indescribable. One of those moments was witnessing nature at its best in the form of the northern lights.

Talk on being a UX team of one

One of my favourite things about Berlin is its culture of having meetups around just about any topic. Here is me speaking on what it is like to be in a "UX team of one" at a designer's meetup.

Scuba diving in the great barrier reef

I wouldn't consider myself the adventurous kind, but my curiosity has no bounds. This sometimes leads me to do things such as this, deep sea diving in the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns, Australia with barely knowing how to swim.
